We've decided that we're gonna try for another baby this coming summer. First things first...i have to get my IUD removed. I have an appt in January to have it removed. Then after a couple cycles, I'll be back to normal...hopefully. I'm hoping to get pregnant anytime after May. That will give me time to finish up my pre-reqs for nursing. By the time I have the baby in early 2009, I'll be ready to apply to nursing school in the fall.
I want another girl so that my daughter can have a sister. I hope that they aren't too far apart because I want them to be the best of friends.
I'm excited to do it all over again....even labor...ha! I know it's not any less painful the second time, but I'm hoping that I won't be crying for an epidural this time.
I know this time around I'm gonna give breast feeding all of me. I'm not gonna sleep so much, and I'm definitely gonna eat and drink more. I'm even considering taking a breastfeeding class. I'm gonna be a milk machine. I'm gonna devote all of my time into making milk for my baby. It's so much cheaper, and it's so possible just with a little bit of work. I'm hoping that my work cooperates. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is getting up in the middle of the night again for those feedings. It was so nice when my daughter started sleeping through the night. I finally was getting all of my sleep again.
I'm looking forward to being pregnant again. I had a very good experience the first time around, for the most part. Pregnancy is amazing, and I'm so excited that I can do it again.

9 months
Ain't she adorable? I bought her these glasses from Old Navy. When i saw them, i put them on her. She actually kept them on for a while, which surprised me. So i had to buy them.
This is us at home showing the family just how cute she is with her new sunglasses. Tai's cousins were at the house at the time, and we were all enjoying the babies, and scrapbooking.
She's crawling like crazy, and running whenever she's in her walker.

Stailynne's Eye Appt
Today Stailynne had an appointment with Dr. Ruben at Point West Kaiser Medical Center. He's a specialist they said so that's why I had to go all the way to the Arden area to see him. It was for her "lazy" eye, which i had growing up, but grew out of. Just to be safe, I took her to the appointment.
Jamie went with me to help carry Stailynne around with all of her stuff.
After they examined her eyes, they told me that they would have to dialate her eyes too. That kind of concerned me because i didn't know how she was going to react to it. They said that when you get your eyes dialated that you can't see up close. I was a little worried that she was going to be grumpy the whole rest of the day. But of course I agreed, because its for her benefit.
Dr. Ruben came in and he did his examination. He concluded that she didn't have a lazy eye or anything that concerned him. But he did mention that she had a bit of an astigmatism already. That was surprising, though that's what i have too. He said that i made a clone of myself. He said that she would probably start to need glasses around the same time i started needing them, which was around high school.
On our way out, we put the sunglasses that we got from the doctor's office on Stailynne. She looked so cute! You couldn't really even see her face because the glasses were big, and she had her pacifier in mouth.

It's crazy that Stailynne got my eyes. I wonder what else will pop up later.

8 months
I was really good this month about taking pictures on exactly the 6th of the month. This is one of like...i dunno...30 pictures or so. i thought it was so cute.
Here she was just smiling for mommy, and showing me that she know how to talk on my cell phone. She kept grabbing it from me, and holding it up to her ear. It's so funny that i buy her all of these toys and all she wants to play with is my cell phone, tv remotes, and boxes...lol!
She's growing like a weed! and crawling every where! she's just like her daddy. she can't stay in one spot.

Celebrating Stailynne's 7th Month and Mom's Bday

Here it's my mom's birthday, and a late celebration for Stailynne turning 7 months.
We took some pictures at the house with Stailynne, newborn Nathan, and the rest of the family. Next we were off to eat. We went to Sunflower Chinese Restaurant. Yummm!

7 months
i love this picture! she's so chunky! In this picture she's wrestling on the floor with her daddy.
This month she's started to crawl. She's even learning how to go up the stairs. Yeah, work off those chubby legs. No...j/k i love those chubby legs.
I'm enjoying being a mother. And i'm so excited for the end of this month. This semester is over in a couple of weeks, and i'm taking that time to spend as much time as possible with my baby girl. It's back to school in the fall, so i'm taking advantage of having more time, and devoting it all to her...and of course my husband.

Welcome Nathan Zhu
This month on the 28th, Nathan was born at Sutter Hospital. It was a really long day for all of us.
I was at the hopsital with Trang and Kenny from 3am on the 28th all the way until she delivered at 9:45 pm.
It was such a different experience being on the other side, you know watching instead of being the one in labor. My heart went out to her coz she was having back labor too. She tried to take the pain, but opted for an epidural when she couldn't take it any more. I know that if it wasn't too late for me, I would have gotten one too.
Once she was finally 10 cm, it was myself, mom, chi hai, and co ut, and of course kenny in the labor room. i was filming, while everyone else held her legs and giving her motivation. When i saw nathan's head coming out, i have to be honest, i got a little scared. Then when they gave her an episiotomy, that freaked me out even more. I was wondering..."Is that what they did to me? Is that what it looked like?"
Then he finally came out! it was so exciting and emotional. I was trying to hold back my tears of hapiness. I can't wait to do it all again.
We took Stailynne to visit her new cousin the day after he was born. She wouldn't even look at him. She looked at everything but him, but got jealous when I held him. I didn't think she was old enough to get jealous. I hope she learns to like him, and that they become good friends when they grow up.

Six months old
This picture was during easter. I got off work, and got her all dressed up to take pictures with the easter bunny. We drove there, unaware that the mall was not even open. Too bad. It would have been a really cute picture.
She can sit on her own now and plays with her blocks. She can't crawl yet though. I put her down on the floor for tummy time, but most of the time she ends up just putting her head down. She looks around then puts her head down, like she's too lazy too crawl or even try.

Five months old
After I got no where with the baby cereal, I tried other baby foods, still with no luck. I didn't know what else to do but to just keep trying.
A couple days after she turned 5 months, she finally started eating. You'll never guess what she decided to eat. She was with my parents at Panera. My mom fed her some chicken noodle soup and she actually like it. I was so happy when I got that call from my mom.
After that day, it was chicken noodle soup for breakfast, lunch and dinner. After a while she started to eat almost anything I fed her. She chomp at the spoon everytime. She would be sitting in her bouncer, and would quickly lean forward for the spoon.
She's trying to sit by herself, but can't quite do it yet. She has to be supported by a boppy so that she doesn't fall over and hurt herself. She's so facinated by the world around her. She stares at objects she's never seen before, and tries to brab anything she can get her hands on. And as always, she always has a smile on her face.
I love my little monster!

Four months old
Stailynne is now babbling like crazy. It's like she wants to reply when you talk to her. She's just the cutest thing. Just recently she's learned to reach up and grab her toys. I lay her down underneath it, and she loves it. She's really loud when she plays. I think she's figured out that she can make noise and just can't get enough of it. I hope those lungs of hers takes her places some day.
This month we started with the baby food. I was really excited about it. The first thing I tried was the baby cereal. I just mixed it with a little bit of her formula, hoping that she'd more than likely take it because it tasted like her milk. I spoon in...one spoon out! She didn't like it all. I kept putting it in, and she just kept spitting it out. I was so sure that she was ready to eat because she's been making chewing motions with her mouth for weeks. I think I got her to eat about 3 spoonfuls, and that was it. I tried again and again for a couple weeks, and the same response.

Back to Work ;(
Today is my first day back after being off since mid-September. This is the first day away from my baby for so many hours. I really didn't know how I was going to take it when I walked out the door this morning. I was just hoping that I wouldn't break down at work and start crying.
The whole day all I heard was "How are holding up?", "Are u okay?"
I just wanted to work and get through the day. Luckily, we were busy in the department and 2:30 came quickly.
I picked up Stailynne at my mom's house. I was so happy to see her. I just kept kissing and hugging her when I saw her. Hopefully, parting with her for 8 hours will get easier.

Three months old
I go back to work in a couple of days. I'm exteremly sad that I won't be with my daughter 24/7 anymore. I knew it was coming but I was hoping that it wouldn't come so fast.
My mom is going to be watching her while I'm at work. I'm so glad that she's here to help me.
I'm also starting school when the Spring semester starts up again in a couple of weeks. I'm just taking 2 classes. I'm taking it slow for now. I want to make sure that I get good grades in the classes that I'm taking instead of taking a whole bunch and not do well.
My little butter ball is getting chubbier and chubbier. I love pinching her lol! She's starting to lift her head really high when she's on her tummy, so curious about the world around her. I'm gonna miss that face when I go back to work ;( I'm gonna miss all of her different facial expressions.
